From Summit Conversations to Story-Led Impact: Our Journey at the Blue Earth Summit

A few weeks ago, we headed into the vibrant, energising atmosphere of the Blue Earth Summit. It was one of those rare gatherings where inspiration, intention and real-world action converged—and we came away feeling different. We met so many incredible people, heard stories that stirred our imaginations and left with a refreshed mindset: the way we work, the way we tell stories, and the way we support causes is evolving.

Why this matters to us personally

Between us, we’ve spent more than 20 years working in B2B content and production — delivering campaigns, crafting brand stories, and helping businesses communicate with their clients. It’s a world that’s taught us everything about deadlines, creativity, collaboration and what makes people pay attention.

But recently, we’ve found ourselves asking a deeper question:

What if the skills we’ve spent our lives building could do more than sell products?
What if they could help protect the things we love?

That thought has quietly turned into a conviction. And now, into a shift.

The change we’re making

We’re evolving our business in three fundamental ways:

Story-first, always
We want to create work that moves people — stories rooted in truth, emotion and purpose. Not just content that fills a requirement.

Supporting organisations that protect nature and people
We’re actively seeking out charities, nonprofits and impact-led initiatives that need help showing the world why their mission matters.

Using our business as a tool for good
We’re building a model where creativity creates impact — not just output.

Why we joined 1% for the Planet

In 2025, we committed to becoming a 1% for the Planet member. That means:

  • We donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to environmental causes

  • We hold ourselves accountable to putting planet and people at the heart of our decisions

  • We align our partnerships with real-world outcomes

It’s a small percentage with a big responsibility — one that keeps us honest about the work we take on and the impact it enables.

What the Summit helped us realise

What we took away from the Blue Earth Summit wasn’t a to-do list — it was clarity.

There are so many brilliant people working toward a better future. What they often lack isn’t passion, knowledge or solutions…

It’s visibility.
It’s quantifying impact.
It’s the ability to make others stop, watch and care.

That’s where we fit.
That’s where our skills finally feel like they’re being used the way we always hoped they could be.

Where we’re going now

We’re excited — not because the path ahead is easy, but because it feels right.

We’ll still work with commercial brands — because progress needs collaboration. But we’ll be doing so with a new lens:

Does this help make a positive difference?
Does this help move the dial?
Does this help tell a story that matters?

That’s the bar now.

A gentle invitation

If you’re a business owner, creative, freelancer or leader who wants to build a better world through the work you do, we’d love to chat.

And if you’re curious about weaving impact into your business too, consider joining 1% for the Planet. It’s a simple structure that helps turn intentions into action — one project, one story, one per cent at a time.

Thank you, Blue Earth Summit.
For the conversations that sparked change.
For helping us realign what we do with who we are.

Here’s to stories that inspire action — and actions that shape tomorrow.
